HubSpot is often credited for introducing this marketing strategy to the world. With in-bound marketing a business does not market their product, service or brand to clients, the company instead draws potential clients in with the hope of gaining leads or paying customers.

Instead of creating a Facebook page and outwardly market your business product, service or brand, you would instead create a Facebook group for your business and draw (inward) clients to the group through content marketing, search engine optimization, branding and social media marketing.
