unable to make up your mind on which career path to choose? Or do you
simply want to understand how to prepare for your educational or
career goals? The good news is that you are not the only person who
has been in such a situation.
With an aim to enable visually challenged students and individuals to
be proactive and make the right career choice, Blind Graduates Forum
(BGFI) has launched a virtual mentorship program.
What is BGFI mentorship programme?
BGFI realizes the need for a trusted guide for you as you take each
step in your career and educational path. To fulfil this need, BGFI
will assign a mentor for you depending on your interest, aspirations
and individual scenario. Your mentor will be a person who has
navigated challenges which you are currently facing or anticipating
in your educational and career path. Your mentor will guide you on
your anxieties about managing your education or career as a person
with disability. Your mentor will be a model for the development of
efficient problem solving and decision-making techniques, the
demonstration of technical skills, developing interpersonal abilities,
and providing personal guidance. From investment banking to physio
therapy, we have all of it covered. No matter what your career choices
are, we will find a trusted mentor for you.
What you need to do:
If you need guidance, fill the mentee registration form below
on filling the form, we will get in touch with you to understand your
need further and then assign the mentor to you on the basis of our
conversation. Ones you are assigned a mentor, you can have regular
interaction with your mentor through a mode of communication and time
suitable for you and your mentor. it will be your responsibility to
stay connected with
your Mentor and leverage from their rich and valuable experience.
Remember, your Mentor will not be your placement officer; however,
they may guide you on how to prepare yourself to find your first job.
The mentor will also not be giving you any financial assistance.
BGFI mentor will be that person whom you can approach when you face a
decision dilemma. No more tricky situations and holding back
scenarios, our mentors got it sorted for you.
We would like to take this initiative to all visually challenged
individuals. while we make an earnest effort to reach out to all, we
need a little helping hand from you in this endeavour. We request you
to pass on this message to visually challenged individuals whom you
believe will benefit from this initiative.
